Hi Reader
A few weeks ago I made a deal with myself. Could I tackle just one shelf? Not the closet. One shelf.
Maybe yours isn't a closet. Maybe it's a conversation you need to have, a project you need to start, or a change you need to make in your life.
You're just waiting for the conditions to be right. Or the perfect stretch of time to present itself.
News flash: the conditions are never right.
So the thing just waits. I think of these as unbegun things.
Mine was a linen closet. Seven shelves, seven kinds of accumulated clutter. Every time I opened the door I felt the dread of spending a day of my life cleaning out a closet.
So I did what any well-adjusted person would do: I closed the door and kept walking.
It took far too long but I changed my perspective. I made a microshift.
What do I mean? I wrote about it on the blog this week. Also, why summer makes it all harder. If you need a nudge, this oneβs for you.

Until next Thursday,
Susan
P.S.: The closet looks so good now, I open the door every time I pass by π.
