Hi friend,
How are you feeling as we approach the New Year? Haven't had the chance to even think about it yet? Either way, 2026 is headed our way!
Are you feeling hopeful? Tired? A little bit of both? I’m right there with you.
January always seems to blow in, shouting about resolutions. We believe it's our time for big, sweeping declarations that promise to transform us overnight.
But the older I get, the more I realize resolutions rarely stick. I don't think it's so much about failure as it a positioning problem. We're expecting perfection of ourselves at the exact moment we’re most depleted.
So this year, instead of resolutions, I’m choosing renewal 🌿.
Renewal is softer. It makes room for slips. It's about incremental gain, which isn't necessarily consistent. It doesn’t require a perfect plan or a spotless January calendar. Renewal is more about making small, curated choices in a way that's doable, whatever that means to us.
What would help me feel more like myself again? What do I want more of in my days? What’s been draining me that I can finally release?
In the blog this week, I share Part 1 of why renewal makes so much more sense, why resolutions often collapse under their own pressure, and how small daily choices (not grand declarations!) are what create a life we can sustain and truly love.

And because I know January can feel both fresh and brutal, all at the same time, I'll have something for you to download on January 1, that'll help you ease into 2026 with a gentler start.

🌟 This Week's Spark 🌟
Ask yourself: What would make this week feel 10% better?
Small improvements count. In fact, they’re what sustain us.

🌿 One Thing . . .
Choose one renewal action today. Make it something simple, human, doable. Drink water before coffee. Start a load of laundry. Text a friend you miss. Take a slow walk. Make your bed. Clear one drawer. One thing is plenty.

Final Thoughts
Wherever you are today, energized, exhausted, hopeful, or hesitant, there's nothing you need to fix about yourself before the year can begin. Renewal starts with kindness, curiosity, and a willingness to return to what matters.
Happy December. Take time to enjoy the final weeks of 2025!
