Hi Reader,
What is it they say about fresh eyes? That thing that happens when you're not really focused on the thing and suddenly you can really "see" it?
It might be your home. You don't give it a lot of thought until you return after a few days away and suddenly you can't believe the state of it? Maybe it's your work. You keep on keeping on with whatever job, pursuit, passion it is. Then, suddenly you wake up in the middle of the night with the realization you have no idea why you're doing what you're doing.
Most of our have had a few of these realizations over the years. Routines we never chose. Commitments we keep out of habit. Hair styles we loved until we saw a picture of ourself and thought "who is that!?"
Last week I told you about my pauses. Four of them, over the last three years. This fall brought Pause 4 of 4, and I've officially decided it's the last one!
But this pause gave me something the others hadn't. Perspective.
From the couch, with a lot of unscheduled hours, I finally looked at Lifeticity the way a brand-new reader would. And I saw a lot of things I hadn't "seen" since I launched the site nearly a year and a half ago.
The categories I'd set up in the beginning no longer fit. The recipes you love were hard to find. And the free guides so many of you have downloaded and written to me about were scattered all over the place.
None of it was hidden. I just couldn't see it until I stopped.
This week's post is about what I learned from that, and five ways to refresh what you've already built, whether it's a home, a routine, or a whole chapter of your life. You don't have to start over. You just need to learn 5 ways to see things with a fresh eye.

The new Lifeticity is here
If you clicked through last week, you may have spotted a few changes. Consider this the official welcome. Everything you loved is still here. It's just easier to find.
A few things to try:
• Five clear sections. Food, Travel, Home, Wellness, and Midlife Reinvention, right at the top of every page
• Fresh from the kitchen. The newest recipes live on the homepage now, and every recipe is sorted by type, so dinner is just a click away
• Free guides, front and center. Your Fall Reset and Your Simple Season are right on the homepage
• A new About page. If you've ever wondered how this all started, it's the best place to begin
Take a look around. Let me know what you think. I'd really love to know!
One more thing. If you could step back and see your own life clearly for a moment, what's one thing you'd refresh? Reply to this newsletter (susan@lifeticity.com), and tell me. I read every note.
🩷 Warmly, Susan
